For two wild weeks every year, the dry lakebed of Johnson Valley transforms into something unreal \u2014 a full-blown, off-grid city in the middle of the California desert. Built from trailers, tents, tools, and raw grit, Hammertown is where racers wrench, fans roam, brands launch, and the entire off-road world comes together to celebrate the hardest one-day race on the planet.<\/h5>\n

The Only Official Entry Point to King of the Hammers\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

Hammertown is located on the Means Dry Lakebed\u00a0within the Johnson Valley OHV Area, accessed exclusively via Boone Road off Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road). This is the only official entry\u00a0for all attendees \u2014 racers, fans, vendors, and media. All other routes will be closed or restricted during the event.<\/p>\n

From I-15 (Victorville \/ Barstow):<\/b><\/h5>\n

    Exit\u00a0Bear Valley Road<\/b>\u00a0in Victorville and head east.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Bear Valley Road becomes\u00a0Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road)<\/b>\u00a0\u2014 continue for approx.\u00a055 miles<\/b>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    In the town of\u00a0Johnson Valley<\/b>, turn\u00a0left (north)<\/b>\u00a0onto\u00a0Boone Road<\/b>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Continue on Boone Road \u2014 a\u00a0graded dirt road<\/b>\u00a0\u2014 for approx.\u00a05 miles<\/b>\u00a0to the entrance of Hammertown.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    From I-10 (Palm Springs \/ Coachella Valley):<\/b><\/h5>\n

      Exit\u00a0Highway 62<\/b>\u00a0toward\u00a0Yucca Valley<\/b>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

      From Highway 62, connect to\u00a0Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road)<\/b>\u00a0and head\u00a0northwest<\/b>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    3. \n
      After approx.\u00a025 miles<\/b>, in\u00a0Johnson Valley<\/b>, turn\u00a0right onto Boone Road<\/b>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
    4. \n
      Continue on Boone Road to reach the entrance to Hammertown.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
